Last Chance for Korean Dogs (LCKD) is a non-profit dog rescue organization based in South Korea. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization and we are dedicated to saving dogs from euthanasia in high-kill shelters and the brutal dog meat trade.
After the rescue, we provide the medical care and rehabilitate the dogs at our office, foster homes, and training facility in South Korea until they are healthy enough to be sent for adoption to loving homes in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Our team of wonderful volunteers are in South Korea, the United States, and Italy. They are dedicated to get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home.
Our mission is to save dogs from high-kill shelters, puppy mills, and dog meat farms. Many dogs we rescue endure terrible mistreatment at puppy mills and other illegal or poorly run animal facilities. Most of them are kept in tiny, overcrowded cages in dog meat farms, provided no water or shelter from the elements, and fed only scraps of waste every few days.
As we are building a community of volunteers, partners, adopters, and supports, we hope to raise public awareness to improve welfare standards and quality of life for our dogs in South Korea.
Dogs are brutally tortured then murdered at slaughter houses.
